Impact A a Director of Engineering for Shipt's Developer and Technology Operations Enablement organization, your product is the engineering ecosystem itself. You will sit at the intersection of Engineering Leadership, Product Management, and Operational Excellence to build a world-class Internal Developer Platform (IDP) and incident and disaster recovery programs. Your mission is to reduce cognitive load for our feature teams, defining the Golden Path that allows engineers to move from idea to production reliably, efficiently, and securely with minimal friction. You will lead the charge in evolving our SRE, DevOps, and FinOps practices into an era of AI-driven automation and agentic workflows. As a Director of Engineering, you will lead multiple teams of engineers building, testing, deploying, maintaining, and operating technical solutions that are utilized by our internal developers, business teams and or external users. You will manage, mentor, and develop engineers while overseeing technical design, implementation, and operation of these solutions.
