Job description

The House Manager supervises and coordinates patient care services after hours. Supervises administrative responsibilities of the medical center, in consultation with the administrator on-call, as assigned or directed. All team members of Southeast Georgia Health System will promote service excellence by developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers, other team members, and the medical staff and will ensure the highest quality of care by performing their responsibilities according to the highest professional standards. Essential Responsibilities: - Makes rounds regularly as indicated at least once per shift. Maintains high visibility through clinical rounds for all areas. - Participates in the assessment of staffing needs. Utilizes staffing guides along with personal observation to maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet patient care needs. Monitors all staffing schedules, notifies Unit Manager or designee of necessary revisions. - Maintains clinical proficiency and readily assists units' staffs when indicated. - Effectively orients new house managers.
