Within the context of a patient/client and family-centred framework and continuum-based care model and in accordance with established standards of professional practice and the vision, values and policies of the organization, and reporting to the Supervisor, Tobacco Reduction and to the Regional Manager, Health Protection and local Medical Health Officer (MHO), the position is responsible for leading the Tobacco Reduction Strategy for a geographic portion of VCH. This may include the entire health authority for some initiatives and includes all health care sectors – Public Health, Acute Care, Community Care, Residential Care, and Mental Health/Addictions. Oversees tobacco and vapour product reduction in the areas of prevention, protection and cessation. Determines the need for programs, and plans, implements, and evaluates these programs.
