Full-time Day Shift 80 hours bi-weekly Monday -Friday 7:30-4 or Monday - Friday 8-4:30 Requirements: - Complete the ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate Course during orientation period - Obtain OCN certification within 2 years of hire once meeting OCN requirements - 2 years of nursing experience - Participation in unit/system councils - IV experience General Summary: Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care. Primary responsibilities include direct patient care, patient/family teaching, symptom management, counseling, and supportive role to assist the patients and their families. May require specialized skills depending on location/unit/specialty assignment. Duties and Responsibilities: - Provides general nursing care and personal care assistance to patients. - Writes initial nursing histories, assesses patients' conditions and develops individual care plans for patients. - Carries out physician orders such as administering prescribed medications or treatments, preparing an operating room, order lab tests, x-rays, etc... - Cleans and prepares rooms between procedures and after terminal cleaning.
