Material Expediter - Warehouse Specialist

Job description

Amentum is seeking a Material Expediter (Warehouse Specialist) in Springfield, VA . This is a temporary, full-time position expected to last through March 24, 2026. It's possible the length of time could be extended. You are well-organized, detail-oriented, and appreciate a range of warehousing tasks. You will verify material against receiving documents, store, stack, or palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, examine stored materials and report deterioration and damage, and remove material from storage and prepare it for shipment. You'll do all this using your excellent communication and customer service support skills. Responsibilities: Assembles and repairs wood shipping crates, using a variety of electric and pneumatic powered hand tools, such as saws, drills, nail guns, staplers, etc. Wraps and packs crates to prepare for shipping/storage Operates a variety of material handling equipment to include forklifts and mechanized warehouse equipment that involves managing high pile storage.
