Job description

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assembles designated products such as stuffing boxes, partially or completely, working at a bench or on shop floor by performing the following duties: - Locates and identifies type, size and quantity of all components needed to assemble product. - Assemble equipment according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints using hand and power tools and some measuring devices. - Checks completed units, insuring proper alignment of parts and components and notes any need for modification. - Conducts inspections to ensure proper operation of parts. - Notifies management of malfunctions. - Assists in trouble shooting, noting need for corrective action. - Conducts hydrostatic tests as required or directed. - Performs painting of finished product as needed. - Uses forklift to move freight and/or inventory. - Other duties as assigned.
