Job description

The lab focuses on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms of gravitropism and phototropism. We use a variety of physiological, developmental, and molecular approaches in our ground-based and spaceflight research. The successful candidate will be responsible for ground-based and post-flight experiments for a project conducted on the International Space Station. The person may need to travel to NASA sites for flight activities. Image analysis of growth and development, as well as genomic studies, will also be performed. Participation in the supervision of undergraduate students is expected. She/he will also participate in writing reports and manuscripts. Some of the desired skills and areas of expertise include bioinformatics, plant physiology, and gravitational and space biology.
