The Department of Physical Therapy is currently seeking a full time Occupational Therapist 1 to work in Miami, FL at the UHealth Tower. The Occupational Therapist I provides effective and efficient rehabilitation, in accordance with the AOTA guidelines for occupational therapy, and participates in the development of services and programs provided by the University of Miami Health System. CORE JOB FUNCTIONS: Performs evaluation on new patients, establishes goals, and develops appropriate treatment plans. Documents all evaluations, treatments, and other pertinent patient interactions. Provides relevant education to patients and families regarding the patient’s condition. Develops and maintains effective communication with all members of the rehabilitation team.
