Job Posting End Date: Until Filled Shift: 1st: Security Clearance: No Clearance: SUMMARY: We are seeking a Mid-career Pipe Marine Designer to support piping and machinery system design projects. The ideal candidate will be skilled in developing and checking system layouts, equipment layouts, pipe fabrication details, and pipe supports within a 3D model using Aveva Marine and/or E3D . Strong knowledge of piping systems, industry codes and design standards is required, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary design team environment on complex projects. RESPONSIBILITIES: Completes products while occasionally consulting with supervision and technical resources Recommends valuable improvements to department processes Anticipates roadblocks to task completion and mitigates their impact based on experience Provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems or technical issues within assigned work scope Serves as focal point for discussing the organization’s agreed technical position with external-to-engineering SMEs and representatives (such as ABS surveyors, Production Superintendents, Managers, Deputy Ship Design Managers) When neces...
