Class III Machine Set-Up Operator – 2nd Shift Location: Albany, MO: Shift: 2nd Shift | Full-Time Pay: $21.81 + $1.00 Shift Premium for 2nd Shift Position Summary: You will set up and operate metal fabricating machines such as brakes, shears, raceways, and punches to cut, bend, straighten, and form metal plates, sheets, and structural shapes. The successful candidate will contribute to the production of high-performance products that support Johnson Controls’ mission of creating smarter, healthier environments. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include the Following: - Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operation. - Select, position, and secure tooling and fixtures onto machine. - Position and clamp stops, guides, and turntables. - Adjust controls to set and regulate machining factors such as pressure and depth of ram stroke, adjustment rolls, blade angle, and machine speed. - Locate and mark bending or cutting lines and reference points on workpiece. - Position workpiece against stops and guide or align layout marks with dies or cutting blades. - Start machine and observe machi...
