Job description

Medical Oncology is looking to hire a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) into the Gastroenterology Oncology Care Team. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) will be an integral part of our adult Medical Oncology outpatient practice, seeing adult patients with gastrointestinal malignancies as part of our GI care teams. NPs and PAs see patients at initial consultation and follow established patients, guiding them through their treatment plan in close collaboration with medical oncologists. The NP or PA manages treatment-related toxicities for patients who are going through standard and research-based cancer treatments including chemotherapy, immunotherapies, and targeted therapies. Additionally, the NP or PA provides holistic care and support for patients during all aspects of their disease course. This includes ordering of curative intent therapy, survivorship care, management of long-term treatment-related toxicities, assessment for cancer regression/progression/recurrence, clinical trials enrollment and end-of-life care.
