Patient Coordinator- Per Diem

Job description

The Patient Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of customer service and patient care tasks to ensure a positive patient experience. Ensures documentation and patient records are prepared and organized. Ensures patients have a clear understanding of what to expect during and after their appointment. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: Greets and assists patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone. Will perform patient registration in various systems. Answers all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner. May collect monies for time-of-service patient responsibility. May be responsible for verifying insurance coverage and obtain prior authorization. Patient Assistance: May perform preliminary screening of patients prior to procedures, which may include medical history. May transport patient to/from the exam room. May assist in patient transfer on/off the exam table. May transport patient to/from the exam room. May provide the patient with preliminary and post-procedure instructions.
