PRESS TECHNICIAN - Core Plant

Job description

Press Technician position will be located in our new core plant in Whitehall, MI. This is an off-shift role: 2nd or 3rd shift. Primary responsibilities will include: - Troubleshoot and problem solve forming issues at the press - Manage die/gauge storage area - Aids in implementing continuous improvements and is a valuable link in the cell help chain. - Check overall quality of core jobs - Enter data into computer if applicable - Good understanding of PLC controlled presses - Good understanding of forming ceramics - Assists production planning in press/die compatibility - Review dies to verify conformity/functionality pior to setup - Notify supervisor or injection specialist of any die problems that may affect schedule - Troubleshoot forming issues - Assist in training and development of new set up techs and press operators - Review and update coating inspection records BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. - Minimum of two years work experience; or six months continuous manufacturing experience. - Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
