Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Andover Branch - Andover, MA 01810Position Type: Part TimeSalary Range: $16.00 HourlyThe Y Abilities Instructor, under the supervision of the Associate Executive Director and Inclusion Coordinator, provides safe, motivational and knowledgeable instruction to all members and participants. The instructor is responsible for the safety and proper instruction of all class activities and will help champion a culture of service excellence and support and advocate the mission and values of the YMCA. Essential Functions: Keep safety as a first priority. Emphasize personal safety and emotional well being of all staff, volunteers, members and program participants. By personal example helps interpret quality of YMCA Character Values - Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. Responsible to work with supervisor and fellow instructors to ensure administrative duties for the sports classes and special events. Qualifications: Must be 16 years of age or older; Prior experience in inclusive/adaptive enrichment either from employment or self participation; Complete Child Abuse Online training prior to or on first day of hire.
