Description: JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: Seasonal Equipment Operator I/CDL Driver is the entry-level classification in the Equipment Operator series . The Seasonal Equipment Operator I/CDL Driver performs unskilled and semi-skilled duties in the operation of vehicles and equipment used in the construction, maintenance, and repair of county roads and right-of-ways . Operates light and medium equipment, such as weed trimmer, chain saw, demolition saw, mower, skid steer, small compaction roller, patch truck, sweeper, crack seal/fill machine, front end loader, backhoe, single-axel, and tandem axle trucks. Duties vary by district and may include operation of equipment in the preparation of final asphalt overlay, hauling materials, and assisting in graveling roads, shoveling, raking, sweeping, and traffic control.
