Job description

Purpose The Produce Lead reports directly to the Store Manager and the Perishable Manager. This position is responsible for duties such as but not limiting to maintaining the highest standards of freshness and fullness in the stores produce department. The Produce Lead provides excellent customer service and is the leader in maintaining excellent daily department conditions. This position accomplishes all job duties in accordance with company policies and procedures. Responsibilities: - Stocks the produce department each day practicing First-In-First-Out procedure - Follows all quality control and cold chain procedures - Culls the department daily for low quality product or close dated items - Reduces low quality product or close dated product in a timely manner for customers to purchase and to control department shrink - Enters ID loss and discards into the handheld daily for inventory accuracy - Oversees receiving, down stacking, and checking in their own delivery against truck invoice for shortages and quality issues - Consistently submits credits for deliveries with quality issues or shortages using the store email - Maintains excellent department conditions in produce case, di...
