Summary of Essential Functions: - Responsible for assessing the educational needs of the staff and new employees. - Designs and implements educational programs that meet identified needs. - Continuously assists management in evaluating nursing practice and designing methodologies to improve standard of care. - Provides leadership, clinical expertise, and functional direction to other member of the health care team. Educational Requirements: - High school graduate or equivalent. - Graduate of an accredited Professional Nursing Program. - Bachelor’s degree preferred. Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Current licensure state of Texas as Professional Nurse. - Specialty Certification preferred. - Patient Care Services Educator - BLS, ACLS - Critical Care - BLS, ACLS - Emergency Services - BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, PALS - Women’s & Children’s Services - BLS, STABLE, NRP, PALS - Experiences which have provided opportunities to develop skills in teaching. - Demonstrates strong clinical skills. - Able to coordinate, facilitate and manage various educational activities. - Utilizes effective communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, family, visitors, healt...
