POSITION SUMMARY: Provide care to patients by assisting clinical staff in all patient rooming activities as directed by providers and supervised as duties require. Tasks include chart preparation, rooming patients, performing procedures, and point of care testing as well as performing a variety of administrative duties as assigned. The Patient Care Technician (PCT) will actively participate as a member of the healthcare team, in a single practice or specialty, to engage patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of patient care. Education: Experience: - High School diploma or equivalent required. - Completion of a medical assistant program or other clinical training program. - Training as an emergency medical technician or paramedic preferred - Healthcare experience preferred. License/Certification/Registration: - Knowledge of medical practice and patient care, medical equipment and instruments and procedures. - Knowledge of physician office procedures, medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines. - Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions. - Ability to take vital signs and record and maintain test results. - Ability to record data accurately using a...
