Product Engineer

Job description

Summary Responsible for researching and developing new products that ATC can add to their remanufacturing processes. Frequently engages manufacturing and program engineering as well as support teams to develop new product launches to expand program offerings. Will effectively represent the company in all customer interactions; building lasting relationships through trust, results, and superior communication. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Interface with customer’s Product Engineering team and Business Development as liaison to new programs. - Present new products to manufacturing for future launches through development of BOM, Engineering specifications, Components, complexity, and Suppliers. - Leads or supports Program Management in launch of new programs and product changes. - Research common failure modes within new product to develop understanding of component attrition. - Participates with Materials and Supplier Quality departments in Supplier Development activities. - Maintain documents that directs internal resources to adapt to customer systems; including revisions, BOM updates, change orders, and other customer notifications that will require internal updates.
