Job description

Primary Purpose: Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, this position is a rotating shift schedule including weekends and holidays. the Operator Technician is responsible for assisting the remote operating center (NSCC) with the day to day operating activities for the Bear Swamp Project. This position will require the candidate to obtain qualifications in mechanical and electrical skills as outlined in the labor agreement. Perform corrective maintenance repairs and other general maintenance as necessary. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Practice safe work habits and follow Employer safety policies and procedures. Immediately identify hazardous conditions and/or act upon incorrect procedures when witnessed and, if necessary, stop the work or procedure. 2. Practice sound, approved environmental principles and follow Employer environmental policies and procedures.
