Associate Director, Integration and Test

Job description

We are looking for an engineering leader to define and realize a strong vision for all aspects of product development testing. This person will establish our strategy for when and how we test our Stretch warehouse robot as we continue to improve its hardware and software. They will work closely with hardware and software engineers on the broader team to define, execute, and track lower-level tests while relying on their own team to execute robot- and system-level testing. Beyond the Stretch project, this role provides the opportunity to set a blueprint for excellence in testing at Boston Dynamics. How you will make an impact: Map the lay of the land through discussions with leaders across the project and propose a testing program to increase our understanding of Stretch and boost our organizational maturity. Define a roadmap to achieve that vision including process/organizational changes, budgeting, and workforce planning. Work with systems engineers on your team to document test plans across both the maturity (prototype, alpha, beta) and complexity (component, subsystem, system) dimensions.
