Manager, Media Relations and Communications

Job description

Basic Purpose Provides media relations and reputational management for NV Energy. Acts as a resource to internal stakeholders to research, plan, develop and measure external media programs to educate customers and improve customer satisfaction scores. Provides leadership for the corporate communications team and serves as the primary spokesperson. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Develops strong relationships with media, facilitates interviews, and acts as a spokesperson for the company. Serves as a key contact for media on volatile, complicated and sensitive topics. - Promotes the company’s overall strategy, policies, and priorities to improve customer satisfaction through media avenues to influence external stakeholder groups and enhance understanding and support of the company. - Serves as Public Information Officer.
