Job description

The Surgical Technologist 1 prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures. Follows hospital regulations and industry procedures to tend to patient during pre-operation procedures. Performs surgical case preparation i.e. surgical instrumentation and medical equipment. Relies on education and training to complete responsibilities. Works under general supervision. #CB Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program (1 year of experience will substitute for this requirement) Communication, customer service, computer skills. Knowledge of medical terminology. - Surgical Case Preparation - Ensure proper equipment, instruments and supplies are provided for procedures and specialty areas. - Ensure a well organized sterile setup/field is maintained at all times contributing to smooth operations. - Anticipate and respond timely with efficiency when performing assignments. - Follow proper sterile techniques and maintain a sterile field at all times. - Provide assistance to the circulating RN with procedure/patient preparation. - Working knowledge of autoclaves in order to consistently follow the proper sterilization method for selected instruments. - Follow the proper pro...
