Principle Responsibilities / Position Purpose The Banquet Captain I is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the Private Events Space at Funky Buddha Brewery with a focus on exceptional guest service. The Banquet Captain I oversees all aspects of the event in the absence of the Banquet Captain, including set-up, serving, and cleanup. Banquet Captains are responsible for helping with training and coaching the banquet staff and managing the client the day of the event. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner. - Comply at all times with the standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient banquet operations. - Assist as necessary in the setup, service, and breakdown of banquet functions. - Keep kitchen informed of accurate counts for plating. - Review menu/service with the Banquets Director and Executive Chef as needed. - Maintain up to date details on banquet functions and communicate to staff and all necessary personnel. - Respond to guests’ requests as needed. - Responsible for safety, sanitation, and cleanliness of service areas. - Maintain a professional working relati...
