Full time, fixed term appointment for 12 months, with the possibility of extension Exciting opportunity to join the School of Medical Sciences as a Postdoctoral Research Associate investigating the Neurochemistry of Ageing Base Salary starting at $113,400 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity: The School of Medical Sciences is recognised as one of the leading centres for medical science research and education. The Lipid Metabolism and Neurochemistry research team is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to contribute to a research program investigating why humans lose myelin with ageing and how this sensitizes us to neurodegenerative diseases of ageing. This is a molecular and cellular research project that is expected to generate new insights into brain metabolism, how glial cells and neurons communicate, and how these processes break down in the ageing brain.
