Job Description DOB’s Concrete Enforcement Engineering unit performs engineering reviews and field response for concrete-related projects. The unit audits licensed concrete testing laboratories. In addition to concrete projects, the unit conducts audits on a variety of structures and foundations. The intern will work alongside seasoned professionals to gain valuable experience, training, and mentoring in the research and review of plans for concrete-related projects. Job Description: Under the direction and supervision of a Licensed Professional Engineer, the Concrete Enforcement Engineering Intern will: - Assist with a code compliance review of structural, foundation, support of excavation, demolition and construction equipment drawings - Assist with site visits and inspections - Assist with concrete laboratory inspections and review of laboratory submission documents - Draft violations and prepare evidence packets - Conduct code research and building/application research - Be introduced to fundamental structural analysis concepts - Provide graphic support for various presentations and internal documents - Participate in administrative tasks - Assist in writing technical reports R...
