Job DetailsJob Location: Structural - Omaha, NE 68110Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $19.00 - $30.00Job Shift: 1st Shift$19-30 Primary Purpose of this Position: Fit and weld steel parts for misc. steel assemblies, including stairs, rails, trash gates and other miscellaneous assemblies, per shop drawings and DWS quality requirements. Essential Job Functions: Identify steel shapes, sizes, and mill tolerances. Weld together structural, plate or miscellaneous steel materials in the fabrication of stairs, handrails, gates and other miscellaneous steel items according to the weld symbols, weld procedures, dimensions shown on the shop drawings, and AISC, NOMMA and NAAMM code requirements. Preheat and/or cut work pieces using a hand torch when required. Clean welds of excess weld, splatter or slag using chipping hammers, wire brushes or grinders. Fabricate sub-pieces of the overall assembly as trained and instructed. Fill out and complete fabrication sheets with required information plus ensure pieces are checked per line (weld, lay out and final) plus turned in at the end of shift.
