POSITION SUMMARY: The Security Officer performs safety and security tours according to established Security Department Management Plans and Standard Operating Procedures. The Security Officer provides and preserves a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and staff at AtlantiCare campuses and facilities. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High School degree or equivalent. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: FEMA Certification: Incident Command System (IS) required within 6 months from date of hire or transfer. CPI required within 6 months from date of hire or transfer; once obtained kept current at all times. AtlantiCare Security Department Hazardous Materials Training required within 6 months of hire or transfer. BLS required effective 4/1/2021, existing incumbents with HSAED will be required to renew with BLS all new hires effective this same date are required to have BLS within 6 months of hire or transfer EXPERIENCE: 1 year of security officer experience preferred, preferably within the healthcare environment.
