Senior Accountant Job Description Reports to: Accounting Manager: Position Summary: The Senior Accountant is responsible for general accounting duties including maintaining balance sheet schedules and account reconciliations. This role assists with the preparation of the monthly financial statements, including variance analysis. This role is also responsible for implementing improvements within accounting as well as cross functionally. Supervisory Responsibilities: The position has no supervisory responsibilities. Education/Experience/Qualifications: - Assist with the month end close process and preparation of monthly financial statements/reports. - Investigate variances in balances, versus both prior year and budget. - Prepare and coordinate schedules needed for the yearly review process. - Maintain fully supported and documented balance sheet reconciliations each month. - Assist with any financial or tax audits. - Assist with maintenance of daily banking duties, debt, and cash flow reporting (treasury accounting). - Complete fixed asset and property tax tracking, including annual property tax returns. - Complete compliance reporting, including, but not limited to, Franchise/Excis...
