SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Mortgage Funder is responsible for ensuring that all mortgage loan documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements and company policies. This role involves working closely with loan officers, underwriters, and closing teams to facilitate the timely and accurate funding of mortgage loans. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Review and Verify Documentation: - Examine and verify loan documents for accuracy and completeness, including loan applications, credit reports, income verification, and title reports. - Ensure all conditions and requirements are met before loan disbursement. Coordinate with Stakeholders: - Collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, processors, closers and closing agents to address any issues or discrepancies. - Communicate with borrowers to obtain additional documentation or information as needed. Compliance and Quality Control: - Ensure all loan transactions comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
