Job Title: Controller Location: Phoenix, AZ (5 days per week, in-office) Reports To: CFO: The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial reporting functions of a $70 million construction services and maintenance company. This hands-on role ensures accurate financial statements, strong internal controls, job costing discipline, and timely reporting to support operational and strategic decision-making. The Controller will manage the accounting team and work closely with operations, service managers, and ownership. Financial Management & Reporting: - Prepare and review financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, cash flow statements. and Work in Progress. - Ensure compliance with US GAAP, including proper revenue recognition for percentage of completion accounting and service arrangements. - Own and execute a 5-business-day monthly close including GL and intercompany reconciliations while ensuring accuracy and consistency. - Oversee profitability reporting by service line (service, maintenance, construction). - Ensure accurate labor costing, technician productivity reporting, and overhead allocation. - Establish and enforce internal financial polici...
