Job description
What you will do: - Foster a safe work environment and lead by example, adhering to and enforcing all safety and regulatory procedures. Promptly acting on unsafe situations. - Immediately report potential food safety or product quality issues to the management staff or shift supervisor. - At least 70% of time is spent in the production environment supporting a variety of EHS activities which can including: - Managing employee's safety concerns - Workplace Inspections - Risk Assessments – New and Updating - Safety Walks with different teams and Plant Leadership - Contractor Inspections - Programmed Safety Focused Audits - Management of Change (Machines, work areas, etc.) - Updating safety communications and contractor safety boards - Perform weekly inspections of Hazardous Waste Storage Areas - Perform Stormwater Inspections - Sign Waste Manifests - Perform environmental/DOT training - Prepare and submit required reports monthly/quarterly/semiannual/annually. - Chemical approval review for safety and environmental impacts - Gather/record environmental data (Monthly air emissions, Oxidizer readings, etc.) - Periodic review of government websites for regulation changes - The balance o...
