Position Summary An aircraft mechanic with a structures background is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining the structural components of aircraft to ensure safety and airworthiness. Ensures that all sheet metal activities are carried out in compliance with company and FAA repair procedures and policies, and that all work meets specified standards and tolerances. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on airframes, including minor and major repairs, modifications, and fabrication of structural parts. - Interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and repair drawings to determine repair methods and ensure compliance with manufacturer and regulatory standards. - Using hand and power tool to cut, drill, assemble, and install aircraft structural components, working with materials such as aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and composites. - Inspecting for damage corrosion, and wear, and taking corrective action to restore structural integrity. - Completing documentation and maintenance records to comply with regulatory and company requirements. - Maintaining a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety protocols and quality sta...
