Description: The Crisis Clinician at Overlook Medical Center supports patients with behavioral health needs in the emergency department and the Emergency Psychiatric Assessment, Treatment and Healing (EmPATH) unit. The position completes focused crisis triage reviews, initial crisis evaluations, risk and suicide assessments, concurrent assessments with identified treatment targets, individual interventions and facilitates group interventions on the EmPATH unit. The position operates as part of an interdisciplinary team to formulate and execute treatment directives for patients, collaborating with psychiatry, nursing, medicine and peer specialists. Job Functions: 01. Provide Emergency Crisis Intervention Services including: a. Patient Assessment & Counseling, complete initial clinical and risk assessments for co-occurring, psychiatric and somatic presentations. b. Formulate provisional dispositions and clinical assessments referencing clinical evidentiary findings to support initial clinical summations. c.
