Overview UIC Bowhead Transport Company, LLC is seeking a reliable and experienced Traveling Equipment Operator to join our team. This role involves operating heavy machinery across multiple job sites and ports throughout Alaska. Candidates must be comfortable working in remote locations, varying weather conditions, and rotating schedules. Responsibilities: Essential functions will include: - Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and/or haul trucks. - Load and offload equipment, materials, and supplies onto and from barges at various ports across Alaska. - Safely secure and stage cargo for transport in coordination with marine crews. - Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance. - Follow all safety protocols and site and port procedures. - Assist with site preparation, grading, trenching, and material handling. - Travel to various job sites and port locations across Alaska as assigned. - Maintain accurate daily logs and reports. - Work collaboratively with crew members, supervisors, and barge/marine personnel.
