Job description

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing of all sub systems on all heavy equipment which includes but is not limited to heavy duty trucks, busses, forklifts, high reaches, front end loaders and backhoes. Must stay current and be able to troubleshooting the new complex automotive and hydraulic systems. Requires a strong working knowledge hydraulics and electrical systems. SCOPE: Provide all types of maintenance work on heavy duty vehicles EDUCATION: EXPERIENCE: - Perform daily, weekly, monthly, semiannual and annual inspections and preventive maintenance on all heavy equipment mechanical systems; inspections include testing, verification and/or calibration of all applicable mechanical and life safety systems, lighting, brakes, steering, etc. - Provide immediate and long-term corrective action for all diesel, liquid propane and gasoline powered equipment which includes but is not limited to the following: heavy duty trucks, busses, fork lifts, high reaches, front end loaders and backhoes; diagnose failures by researching defective mechanically controlled sub-systems / parts and using instructional and reference manu...
