Job Title: Payroll Specialist Job Location: Tampa, FL: Purpose: The role of the Payroll/Accounts Payable Clerk is to provide financial and administrative support for the organization. They process payroll, payments, verify invoices and reconcile all expenses to keep track of what's going out of the business . Responsibilities: - Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc. - Maintaining payroll information by collating, calculating and entering data - Updating payroll records by entering any changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, exemptions and saving deduction - Calculating payroll liabilities by determining employee taxes, including federal and state income and social security tax, and calculating employer’s payments for social security, unemployment and worker’s compensation - Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queries - Paying employees by verifying expense reports and preparing pay checks - Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances - Paying vendors by scheduling pay checks and ensuring payment is receiv...
