Job Description This is not an official description, but represents major responsibilities a new hire can expect to perform.You could expect the position of Service Center Cashier to include the following: CASHIER DUTIES: - Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job. - Answer phone - Cash Checks - Process Western Union transactions - Sell Money Orders - Process merchandise returns and refunds - Pick up cash from lane sweeps - Know all aspects of checking and help with any issues that may happen at the lane BOOKKEEPER DUTIES: - Settles cash drawers and sets up beginning cash balance - Generates sales reports for previous business day - Orders money from cash service; i.e., Brinks to maintain cash balance in safe - Balance safe and generate reports associated with balancing function - Load lottery vending machines; balance cash from machines with sales reports Additional responsibilities may include: - Reprint orders - Do journal transactions (in case of receipt printing malfunction at registers) TRAINING: Training will be provided at store level.
