Description JOB SUMMARY: Within the context of a patient/client and family-centred framework and continuum-based care model and in accordance with established standards of professional practice and the vision, values and policies of the organization, provides occupational therapy services to a specific group of children (5 to 19 years of age) with physical, neurological and/or developmental challenges such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, difficulties with fine motor, written output, organization, attention and sensorimotor integration and those who require episodic or palliative care. Coordinates the care for children with complex health care needs and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members, educational agencies and other health care professionals/providers/community agencies to achieve excellence in health services and education within the school, home and facility settings.This work is framed within VCH’s commitments to our pillars of Indigenous Cultural Safety, Anti-Racism, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and Planetary Health.
