Job description

Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Infusion Center provides safe, high-quality nursing care to patients receiving intravenous (IV) therapies, including biologics, chemotherapy, hydration, blood products, and specialty medications. The RN is responsible for patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring for adverse reactions, patient education, and coordination of care in an outpatient infusion setting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Perform comprehensive nursing assessments before, during, and after infusion treatments - Administer IV medications, biologics, chemotherapy, hydration, and other infusion therapies per provider orders and established protocols - Initiate, monitor, and maintain peripheral IVs, central lines, PICC lines, and implanted ports - Monitor patients for infusion-related reactions and adverse events; respond promptly to emergencies following clinical protocols - Accurately document patient care, medication administration, assessments, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR) - Educate patients and families on infusion therapies, potential side effects, and post-treatment care - Collaborate with physicians, pharmacist...
