Classification Title: Director, Education or Training Programs Job Description: The Director of Professional and Workforce Development provides strategic leadership for key initiatives within the University of Florida’s Office of Professional and Workforce Development (OPWD) in the Office of Teaching and Technology. Reporting to the Senior Director and Assistant Provost, this position oversees the strategy, operations, and growth of the TREEO Center, conferences, and a portfolio of online and customized professional development programs. The Director is responsible for guiding program operations, personnel, facilities, and fiscal resources while leading business development, partnerships, marketing efforts, and new program initiatives aligned with workforce and industry needs. This role plays an important part in expanding the University of Florida’s impact through high-quality professional education and workforce training.
