The Opportunity: Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position of Deli Clerk at St. Vital Food Store located at 850 Dakota Street , in Winnipeg . This position reports to the Deli Manager. Essential responsibilities of the position include the following: A full responsibility list will be provided to candidates selected for interviews. - Deliver world-class customer service that is fast, friendly and efficient. - Maintain sections of merchandise (luncheon meat, cheese, home meal replacement, hot food, bulk product, packaged product) as assigned in an effective manner. Ensure first-in, first-out rotation is followed at all times, and that close-dated product is reported to the Deli Manager. - Ensure the deli department is properly stocked with merchandise and faced at all times. - Receive, inspect, and store orders upon delivery to ensure all product is immediately stored in proper temperature-controlled environment. - Prepare fresh value-added product and home meal replacement items as per established Co-op recipes and procedures.
