Principal Project Engineer

Job description

Position Summary Provide technical consultation and leadership as well as performing all essential functions of a lead project engineer or supporting project engineer for multiple substation project orders. Essential Functions: - Individually and through other project engineers, design, develop and implement all engineering facets of substation projects including but not limited to, equipment design, outside contractor involvement, assembly and testing. - Compile and analyze operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment or product and to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications. - Provide engineering leadership by serving as the primary contact person for design issues identified by other groups and divisions. - Lead significant design projects, primarily involving participation and coordination with other groups and divisions. - Conduct product, technology or other training as required. - Provide technical consultation to engineering as well as other groups and divisions. - Consult on and/or review major development programs through review meetings, personal consultations, etc. Provide in...
