North American Category Manager

Job Title: Category Manager Reports to: Sr. Director of North American Procurement & Vendor Management Direct Reports: None: Position Summary: The Category Manager will be responsible for strategic management of designated categories including such things as performing RFPs, supplier selection, supplier negotiation, & vendor management. This individual is committed to driving cost savings and efficiency by fostering strong supplier relationships and is responsible for driving cost-out to directly impact the bottom line. Essential Functions: - Drive category management including quality, delivery & cost via data-based decisions. - Responsible for category growth and profitability. - Ultimate ownership of vendor partnerships & programs. - Drive-out cost within our existing categories - Secure additional product in times of constrained inventory. - Develop new vendor partnerships. - Initiate & execute product & category line reviews. - Utilize vendor scorecards to drive improvement. - Conducts category and spend analysis for respective areas of control. - Executes supplier relationship management activities to improve supplier performance, evaluation and qualification. - Achieves targ...
