Hampton, Virginia Overview: Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for providing technical support of pharmacy services, including but not limited to, distributing pharmaceuticals, performing inventory control, completing compliance audits and financial transactions, providing customer service, and maintaining pharmacy records. Performs pharmacy-related duties in compliance with department policies and procedures and state/federal law and regulation and arranges sequence and timing of work to meet normal and viable work requirements. Pharmacy Technician I works as part of an interdisciplinary patient care team under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy/Pharmacy Manager or their designee. What you will do: Provides technical support of pharmacy services including receiving and confirming prescriptions, preparing and dispensing prescriptions, distributing pharmaceuticals, and maintaining pharmacy records. Performs inventory control. Ensures proper storage and stocks inventory. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy practice and workflows to provide quality patient care and meet safety standards.
