Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring an Information Security and Network Specialist in Salem, Virginia. The Information Security and Network Specialist is responsible for maintaining and securing the organization’s network infrastructure while implementing and enforcing information security policies. This hybrid role combines network administration tasks—such as configuring and monitoring network systems—with cybersecurity duties, including threat detection, vulnerability management, and compliance. Seeking candidates with a minimum four years of experience in network administration and/or information security; Experience with security tools, such as firewalls (Sonic Wall, Cisco ASA), VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber security or equivalent work experience, required; Experience working with remote users, distributed teams, software and support vendors, preferred; Cisco and/or Microsoft network certification, preferred.
