ABOUT THE ROLE: We are seeking a Sr. Nuclear Criticality Safety Engineer to join our team supporting the Oak Ridge National Laboratory ! This position is full-time and will be based out of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Responsibilities: Stops work without fear of reprisal for unsafe conditions potentially affecting personnel safety or environmental risk. Assists in identification of the need for and/or development of Nuclear Criticality Safety (NCS) compliance training to support Isotek activities. Maintains awareness of NCS-related operations within Project. Participates in critiques/investigations involving NCS issues, as requested. Provides field support of operations in nuclear criticality safety, including periodic surveillance and assessment of conformance to Nuclear Criticality Safety Approval (NCSA) requirements. Supports building activities, such as construction and maintenance, to ensure criticality safety. Reviews Work Packages, procedures, and other project documents to ensure compliance with NCS requirements. Performs Criticality Accident Alarm System (CAAS) assessments.
