Available Title(s): 510G-YN_CS_NPS - Laboratory Technician 1 Business Title: Laboratory Technician 1 Employee Type: Classified Position Details: The Opportunity: As a Laboratory Technician 1 within Washington State University, College of Veterinary Medicine Washington Animal Disease Diagnotistic Laboratory (WADDL ) you will contribute directly to laboratory operations by processing biological samples and preparing microbiological assays to detect pathogenic bacteria. You will also set up fecal flotation samples to identify avian parasites and ensure accurate test ordering, data entry, and results reporting within the laboratory information management system (LIMS). As part of your daily work, you will support safe and efficient lab operations by performing routine maintenance tasks such as autoclaving biohazardous waste, restocking supplies, preparing reagents and media, and carrying out general preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment.
