The Mathematics Instructor is a full‐time, 9-month salaried position responsible for teaching Mathematics courses. These responsibilities involve implementing course syllabi, achieving student learning outcomes, evaluating student performance, record-keeping, and related activities. Related activities include, but are not limited to, advising, and participating in recruiting and retention efforts. QUALIFICATIONS: REPORTS TO: District Director of Mathematics Instruction - Master’s Degree in Mathematics or a Master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in Mathematics - Community College teaching experience in Math - Experience teaching online - Experience with classroom technology - Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills - Excellent interpersonal communication skills required CONTRACT TERM: Nine (9) months: HOURS: 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (Monday-Friday) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Teach Math courses, primarily Intermediate Beginning Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, and College Algebra - Prepare, administer, and grade essays, tests, other assignments, and/or program assessment data - Maintain a record of student attendance as required by the Mississippi Community College...
