Landfill Manager – C&D Operations Location: Chesterfield, VA Job Type: Direct Hire Salary: Starting at $90,000+ (based on experience) Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Landfill Manager to oversee the daily operations, compliance, and performance of a Construction & Demolition (C&D) landfill. This role is responsible for managing site activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong operational leadership experience, understands trucking/logistics, and can balance production with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Operations Management: - Oversee daily landfill operations including waste placement, compaction, and cover - Manage incoming material flow, traffic control, and tipping operations - Coordinate with haulers to maximize efficiency and throughput - Ensure proper grading, drainage, and airspace utilization - Monitor performance metrics such as cycle times and volume Environmental & Regulatory Compliance: - Ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations and permits - Manage inspections, reporting, and recordkeeping - Oversee stormwater, erosion control, and environmental sys...
